A friend offered us grapes for wine making. Fours hours later we are still processing them.

We're going a bit off piste next year. More self seeding and more companion planting.

'These are doing well I think these are self seeded' I think as I dead head them - anyone see a problem with that?

Paths

It's only taken 8 years but The Scarecrow has now made paths and beds. Reckon next year we might double our produce. Just as well with Brexit. Might need to camp here to protect it though.

06.50 trying to beat the hot weather

Plants struggling, as we are, in the heatwave. Spring was Summer so plants are confused.

Cherries!!!!!

This is the first year we have been able to pick cherries. Sometimes there are only a few cherries that the birds get to before they are ripe. This year the blossom was able to set without getting destroyed by rain and strong winds. The red currants have also done well.

Paneer

Waste not want not. School was shut this week so I made paneer from the milk.
