Tree Onions and more flower seeds

Tree onions now planted in the allotment, they had filled their pots with roots.

Some old flower seeds in a seed tray probably about 20 years old, just to see what happens.

French marigolds.

Seeds sown

Today I have started off 12 cherry tomato seeds, youngest sons bedroom window sill.
In the greenhouse outside Bijou mangetout with 6 seeds from last year as well just to see if it will really work! Sweet peas.

When I say greenhouse I actually mean glorified plastic tent.

Delphinium

I have bought flower seeds for the allotment and for the border at home.

Planted Dephinium Delight Mix today in a seed tray after leaving the seeds for 2 weeks in the fridge.

Now to leave at 13 - 21 C but germination takes 21-40 days.  Transplant to 8cm apart and acclimatise hopefully planting out in the beginning of May.  Flowering August to September.

Plastic off

The last of the plastic has come off.  It was well worth putting down, a much easier dig.

The grass all gone and the remaining weeds white and puny.

Rhubarb is growing well and a nice crown developing.  The tyres did protect from the frost.

We took the tyres off the following day:

Excellent

Appears to be working. All I need to do is remember to go online occasionally and add the labels.

Mobile Blogging

Just trying posting by email from the phone maybe I can keep up to date. Mind you if you type in blogging the phone corrects to flogging. Since when has that been more popular?
