Site Plan February

Here is the site plan with an idea of how big the plot is.

The long green strip is the new plot orchard, cut flower garden, fruit bushes.

Here is the plan of the veg side:

Here's to The Scarecrow

Seeing as The Scarecrow usually looks as if he could scare birds and small children I thought I would put a more flattering photo up.

Here is The Scarecrow in a very regal stance, surveying his hard work.  This is the man behind all the hard work.  I'm afraid I am just the brains of the venture, whoops where's that delete button.
I am just the seed purchaser, nurturer and planter.

The New Plot before

The new plot on 25th October 2010:

Onions

Two onion beds planted.  One is a raised bed with garlic around the outside and the other straight in the soil.

Hopefully the raised bed with better drainage will prove the extra effort to make it.

The Return of Allotment Sunday

Weather is 10 degrees C and despite a few strong gusts of wind not too bad.

Its not exactly the return of Allotment Sunday for some as The Scarecrow has been down periodically to tame the extra site we have taken on.  On the main site the plastic is being peeled back to dig.  Excellent result from the year of plastic and an easy dig!  Still too difficult for me alas.

I have changed mobile phones and now not sure if I have got a before of the new plot.

Here's today's view:

Amazing amount of prepation done already.  Thanks to The Scarecrow.

Lots of things are beginning to grow, rhubarb, raspberries, garlic and the broad beans being used as a green manure.
